Re:ZERO isn’t just coming back — it’s coming back louder, darker, and more emotional than ever.
During the anime’s 10th anniversary livestream, fans finally received what they’ve been waiting for: a new trailer for Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World – Season 4, confirmation of its Spring 2026 release window, and the reveal of an opening theme that already feels iconic.
Ten years after Subaru’s first brutal loop began, Re:ZERO is proving it still knows exactly how to hurt us — and why we keep coming back.
A New Opening That Feels Different — In the Best Way
The new trailer previews “Recollect,” the Season 4 opening theme performed by Konomi Suzuki, joined this time by American rapper Ashnikko, with production by Giga & TeddyLoid.
It’s an unexpected collaboration — and that’s precisely why it works.
Suzuki’s voice has been inseparable from Re:ZERO’s identity since Season 1, while Ashnikko brings a sharp, modern intensity that matches the harsher tone of Subaru’s next journey. The result feels less like a typical anime OP and more like a statement: this season won’t hold back.
Ashnikko comments:
I feel so honored to have been asked to work on and perform the opening song for season 4 of Re:ZERO!!!! this is my favorite anime of all time and i can’t believe the stars aligned for this to happen! thank you to anime song queen konomi suzuki for being so welcoming and collaborative. so excited to promote this song and watch season 4
Season 4 Story Setup — A Journey Across the Auguria Desert
Season 4 continues directly after the devastating events in Priestella in Re:ZERO Season 3, and Subaru’s goal is painfully clear: save Rem.
To do that, Subaru and his allies must cross the Auguria Desert, one of the most dangerous regions in the Re:ZERO world, to reach the legendary Pleiades Watchtower. This isn’t just a physical journey — it’s a psychological one.
Rem remains trapped in a coma due to the Archbishop of Greed’s power, and every step forward forces Subaru to confront the limits of his resolve. Along the way, the group seeks answers from Shaula, a mysterious sage said to know the world’s deepest secrets.
The trailer hints at:
lethal monsters hidden beneath endless dunes
warped space that defies logic
new faces whose intentions are anything but trustworthy
Re:ZERO has always thrived on uncertainty — and Season 4 leans into it completely.
New Characters, New Threats
Two major new cast members were also confirmed:
Fairouz Ai as Shaula, the enigmatic guardian of the Watchtower
Tomokazu Sugita as Reid Astrea, the first Sword Saint, whose existence ties back to events from 400 years ago
The trailer gives only fragments — Shaula’s unsettling closeness to Subaru, Reid’s casual combat using chopsticks — but that’s enough to set alarms ringing. In Re:ZERO, power rarely announces itself loudly… and that’s what makes it dangerous.
Release & Streaming Details
Season 4 Premiere: Spring 2026 (April window confirmed, exact date pending)
Studio: WHITE FOX returns once again

It’s a reminder that Re:ZERO isn’t just a popular isekai — it’s a franchise that has shaped the genre itself.
Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Anime 10th Anniversary PV
A Quick Reminder: What Re:ZERO Is Really About
At its core, Re:ZERO follows Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary teenager thrown into another world with one horrifying ability: Return by Death. Every mistake, every failure, every death resets the time — but the pain never disappears.
What makes Re:ZERO special isn’t the fantasy setting or the action.
It’s the way it explores fear, guilt, love, and perseverance — over and over again — until both Subaru and the viewer are forced to change.
Season 4 looks ready to test that resolve once more.
